Orbit Table
The Orbit Table explores how little a table needs in order to feel complete.
The design is intentionally reduced: a circular top supported by a simple, balanced base. Proportion does the work. The round surface softens the geometry, while the turned legs introduce subtle variation and movement without disrupting the overall calm of the form.
Rather than using detail as decoration, the table relies on material and restraint. Solid walnut provides warmth and visual depth, allowing the piece to remain quiet while still holding presence within a room.
Each table is built by hand in my Connecticut studio using solid walnut throughout. The legs are individually turned and joined using traditional methods, creating a structure that feels stable and assured without excess weight. The simplicity of the construction allows the character of the wood, its grain, color, and variation, to remain legible.
The surface is finished with a hand-rubbed oil that protects the wood while preserving its natural texture and tone. The finish is meant to age gradually, developing character through use rather than resisting it.
Orbit is designed to live comfortably beside a sofa, reading chair, or bed. It works as a supporting piece; useful, adaptable, and intentional without ever becoming visually dominant.

The goal is not to produce quantity, but to create pieces that feel considered, useful, and lasting—objects that settle naturally into daily life and remain there.
