Frame Console
The Frame Console is a study in proportion and utility.
The design is intentionally open and reduced, allowing it to function equally well as a bookshelf, media console, or low storage piece. The form relies on clear geometry and careful spacing rather than enclosure, keeping the unit visually light while remaining structurally sound.
Material plays a central role. Shown here in figured Ambrosia maple, the surface introduces warmth and variation through its natural markings and tone. The same design adapts easily to walnut, cherry, ash, or hard maple, each offering a distinct expression while preserving the underlying clarity of the form.
Built by hand in the studio, each unit is milled, shaped, and finished with restraint. Boards are selected for grain continuity and proportion, balancing clean edges with the natural character of the wood. The open shelving allows books, records, or media components to settle into the piece without visual crowding.
Proportions are deliberately versatile. The console works comfortably in a living room, office, or bedroom, supporting daily use while maintaining a calm, modern presence within the space.
Frame is not designed to dictate how it should be used. Instead, it provides structure — an adaptable framework that supports whatever role the space requires.
