Workshop Chair
The Workshop Chair is designed for everyday use.
The goal was to create a dining chair that feels at home across a wide range of settings—casual or formal—while remaining strong enough to withstand decades of daily use. The form is restrained and legible. Clean lines and clear proportions allow the structure and material to speak without excess.
Built by hand in the studio, the chair relies on stepped mortise‑and‑tenon joinery throughout. The joints are intentionally visible, not as decoration, but as evidence of how the chair works. This method requires time and precision, but it produces a structure that resists loosening and remains stable as it ages.
The proportions are familiar without feeling generic. The chair sits comfortably at a dining table, offering support without visual heaviness. Its character comes from clarity rather than gesture—a piece designed to serve its role quietly and well.
The Workshop Chair is not intended as a statement object. It is meant to be used, lived with, and relied upon—furniture that earns its place through consistency rather than attention.
