Threshold Table
The Threshold Table is designed for transition.
With a narrow footprint and reduced form, it occupies space lightly—working as an entry table, slim side table, or bedside surface without asserting itself. The proportions are deliberate. Clean lines and quiet joinery allow the material to remain visible without visual noise.
Each table begins with salvaged hardwood sourced from local removals, trimming, or storm damage. The wood is milled and shaped in the studio, giving overlooked material a second life in a form meant to endure. Because species and grain vary from piece to piece, each table carries its own character while maintaining a consistent architectural language.
The structure is straightforward and intentional. An inset lower shelf is cut directly into the legs, creating a subtle joinery detail that reinforces the form without interrupting its clarity. The gesture is small, but it anchors the piece and adds function without excess.
Two height options allow the table to adapt to different roles—lower for living spaces, taller for entryways or transitional zones. Shown here in cherry and walnut combinations, the design accommodates a wide range of hardwood pairings while remaining composed and balanced.
The surface is finished with a clear, low‑sheen hard‑wax oil that offers durability and water resistance while preserving the natural feel of the wood. The finish protects without obscuring, allowing the material to remain legible over time.
Threshold is not meant to announce itself. It is designed to support daily routines quietly—holding what’s needed, marking a moment of transition, and then receding into the background.

Availability & Customization
Wood species combinations, dimensions, and proportional adjustments may be discussed prior to production, provided they remain aligned with the intent of the design.
Each Threshold Table is made to order. Variations in grain, color, and figure are inherent to salvaged solid wood and are considered part of the character of the piece.
